  • Strategic Spin-Off: The Middleby Corporation (NASDAQ:MIDD) successfully spun off its food processing division, creating Midera Food Processing, Inc. (NASDAQ:MFP) as an independent public entity.
  • Midera's Market Debut & Funding: Midera Food Processing, Inc. (NASDAQ:MFP) began trading on Nasdaq and secured a substantial $1.00 billion credit agreement to fuel its acquisition-focused growth strategy.
  • Middleby's Refocused Operations: Post-spin-off, Middleby is now solely focused on its commercial foodservice business, with its stock priced at $139.26 and a market capitalization of approximately $6.30 billion.

The Middleby Corporation (NASDAQ:MIDD) is a leading company that designs, manufactures, and sells equipment for the commercial foodservice, food processing, and residential kitchen industries. The company recently underwent a significant structural change by separating one of its major divisions to create a new, independent entity, enhancing its market focus.

On July 7, 2026, this change was finalized through a strategic spin-off. As part of this transaction, Middleby distributed shares of the new company to its existing shareholders. The distribution was structured similarly to a 1000-for-1243 stock split, where shareholders received shares in the new entity based on their holdings in Middleby.

The separated division is now an independent public company named Midera Food Processing, Inc. (NASDAQ:MFP). As highlighted by GlobeNewswire, Midera began trading on the Nasdaq under the ticker symbol “MFP” on July 7, 2026. This strategic move allows Middleby to focus purely on its commercial foodservice business, while Midera operates as a leading food processing technology platform.

To support its new independent operations, Midera has secured a five-year, $1.00 billion credit agreement, as reported by Gurufocus. This significant funding consists of a $750.00 million U.S. dollar revolving credit facility and a $250.00 million multi-currency facility. Midera's CEO, Mark Salman, noted this provides the company with substantial capacity for its acquisition-focused growth strategy.

Following the spin-off, Middleby's stock is priced at $139.26, reflecting a decrease of $4.89 or 3.39% for the day. The stock has a 52-week range between $89.16 and $148.55. The company's market capitalization, which represents the total value of all its shares, now stands at approximately $6.30 billion.
